OΔYΣΣEΩΣ NAYAΓOΣ

as well as destroying, the strenght of sea can create incredible Beauty, and the shoreline is a real treasure island for me:
this time it was a small tree branch - compressed, bent, tortured, twisted – and a marble pebble not less chipped and
tortured than the wood...how long did their odyssey last?...Poseidon showing his whole power to a stunned but intrepid
Ulysses, the first sentence that came to my mind when seeing those “creatures”, and the words I tried to write on them
(unfortunately, such hyper-rough surfaces aren’t the ideal support for calligraphy...oh, well, the work itself isn't all that worthy):
OΔYΣΣEΩΣ YΠOΦEPEI THN OPΓHN TOY ΠOΣEIΔΩNA
(Ulysses undergoes Poseidon’s wrath)
- wood, probably olive
- marble, probably ancient
- gold leaf 22 kt on PVA
- bronze purpurine
- indelible Staedtler signature pen
- shellac varnish
